Formerly a working gravel pit, the Day Ticket Lake was first stocked with bream, tench and a few English strain carp by Dereham Angling Club in the 1970's.

Norfolk Koi Import Ltd owned by Joseph Van Haam took on the lease of the complex in 1990 and Catch 22 was born.
Stunning carp known for their strong fighting ability were imported from the Netherlands by MAAF license in 1992 and 1994.
A mixture of commons, mirrors, leathers and linears were stocked in both lakes.
The hard work of landscaping and building swims during this time brought Catch 22 to be one of the best fishing complex's in the UK, as it also is today.
David Wilby, currently the Fishery Manager took on the role of running the complex in 1998. With help from friends, syndicate members and much loved bailiff at the time Bill Smithson, the fishery was brought to the 'next level', with facilities added to make the customer's stay more enjoyable and comfortable.
The Wilby family are now at the forefront of helping to run the fishery. Wife Rosemary and daughter Emma joined the Catch 22 team in 2000.
Bailiff Jeff Greenaway helps to keep the complex ship shape, along with friends that come down in their spare time to do maintenance jobs.
All in all, the future looks bright and we welcome you to come along and enjoy the Catch 22 experience!
We like seeing our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
